        I enjoy the sense of order and control of doing my vlog at home. I carefully write and edit what to say and concentrate on reporting it accurately to the camera. My preparation for making videos includes setting up the lights and camera for action. I can’t control the noise from neighbors or the parking lot, but I have strategies to minimize it.

        In the September 2022 vlog, I expressed the need for the vlog to evolve. So, for the November 2022 vlog, I decided to do an unscripted location tour. Moving forward, I will include more activity topics and try new things with the vlog. My camera and video skills will branch out, too.

        The walk at Mint Springs is my first effort at doing something new for the vlog. It was a crash course on using my cell phone for video. The sun and clouds were not friendly for lighting. Narrating the walk without a script was unnerving, and I still need to overcome my stage fright of being seen while vlogging. However, the day and the scenery were fantastic. The freedom and potential for new possibilities were not lost on me.

        I encourage you to take a break from your routine or enjoy time at a local park. A little shake-up will do you good. But first, watch my video!
